Questions about this tool
Can enhancement repair a blurred impression?
No. Contrast adjustments cannot reconstruct missing biometric detail reliably. Use a new clear impression when the source is blurred or smudged.

The enhancer focuses on the contrast and paper shading of an existing scan. The resizer focuses on fitting a scan to dimensions and file-size helpers. In both cases, check actual pixels, bytes and visible ridges.
Can a prepared impression be smaller than the selected maximum?
Yes. A maximum is a ceiling, not a requirement to fill every byte. Compare the result with any minimum specified by your portal and keep the ridge detail readable.
