What to check
A text-based PDF and a scanned PDF have different compression opportunities. Signed or protected files are rejected for editing. Inspect the processed pages before downloading.

Questions about this tool
Can every PDF reach my selected KB target?
No. Page count, embedded images and existing compression limit what can be reduced safely. Best Safe Result identifies a checked output above your target; it does not mean the upload limit was met.
Why are signed or protected PDFs rejected?
Editing can invalidate digital signatures or alter protected content. These operations refuse such files. Use an appropriate unsigned, unprotected source instead of changing a signed document.
How do I know what the compressor changed?
Compare the original and output byte sizes, then open the processed PDF preview. Inspect every page, small text and important content before downloading or uploading the result.
Are my selected files sent to a server for processing?
